2022 World Cup : Division One League club Steadfast FC to pocket $109K as benefit

Division One League side Steadfast will receive a whopping financial reward of $109,504.72 from FIFA due the contribution of Fatawu Issahaku in Ghana’s campaign at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Steadfast are among the five Ghanaian clubs that will receive these financial benefits following their involvement in the 2022 World Cup campaign.

The other clubs to benefit from this initiative are Hearts of Oak, Asante kotoko, King Faisal, and Dreams FC.

During the World Cup, Issahaku was on loan at Dreams FC but was a Steadfast player, however, both teams will benefit from the FIFA windfall.

The funds will be initially sent to the Ghana Football Association, which will then distribute the money to the respective beneficiary clubs.

The financial rewards allocated to the Ghanaian clubs and other African teams aim to recognise the contributions made by domestic league players to their respective national teams’ World Cup campaigns.

Below is how all the five Ghanaian clubs will get from the 2022 FIFA World campaign.
