AFCON 2023 QUALIFIER: Ghana to hold mandatory training session in madagascar tonight

Ghana have safely arrived in Antananarivo for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Group E qualifier against Madagascar

The Black Stars will hold their mandatory training session in Madagascar tonight ahead of their clash with the Barea on Sunday.

Ghana have safely arrived in Antananarivo for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Group E qualifier against Madagascar.

The team left Accra on Friday in the afternoon and arrived in the capital of Madagascar around 1am in the morning on Saturday.

The four-time African champions will train at 5 o’clock at the Kianja Barea Stadium in Antananarivo.

Before leaving for the important match, the Black Stars trained for four days in Accra.

After winning two and drawing the remaining two games in the qualifiers, Ghana needs a victory to secure a spot in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire.

Ghana’s journey thus far has seen them secure victories in two matches against Madagascar and Angola, while also earning draws against Central African Republic and Angola in the initial four fixtures.

Twenty-four players travelled on Friday. They include:
Goalkeepers: Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Joseph Wollaccott
Defenders: Denis Odoi, Alidu Seidu, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Addo, Nicholas Opoku, Kasim Adams, Patrick Kpozo
Midfielders: Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, Salis Abdul Samed, Edmund Addo, Majeed Ashimeru
Wingers/Forwards: Joseph Painstil, Osman Bukari, Kamal Deen Sulemana, Ernest Nuamah, Ransford Yeboah Koningsdorffer, Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Kwasi Okyere Wreidt, Hafiz Konkoni

The game is scheduled for 17:00Hrs on Sunday, June 18,2023.
