GFA Foundation donates to former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Sampson Appiah

The Ghana Football Association Foundation has donated an amount GH¢ 10,000 to former Kotoko player and goalkeeper trainer, Sampson Appiah.

The gesture towards the ex-Ghana star is part of the objective of the foundation to extend support to struggling former stars after its launch in April 2023.

Present were former Kotoko legends, Opoku Nti, Ibrahim Gariba, Joe Mensah and Ashanti regional football association President Mr. Osei Tutu, popularly known as ‘Kotoro’.

Sampson Appiah, who is experiencing a spine problem after an accident in 2017 expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the foundation for the donation.

He said it’s been a year and 4 months since he had his spine surgery and has since resumed his physiotherapy session at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

The foundation’s Chairman Malcolm Frazier Appeadu took the opportunity to invite individuals and organizations to support the foundation in its programs and activities.

The foundation first donated Fifty Thousand Cedis (GHS50,000.00) to former Ghana Coach, Sellas Tetteh, before donating Hundred Thousand Cedis (GHS10,000.00) to former Black Stars Team Manager, Sabahn Quaye and a former player, Thomas Quaye.
