Kurt Okraku: The Football Messiah? Medeama Spokesperson praises incumbent’s efforts in restoring Ghana Football

Spokesperson for Medeama SC, Patrick Akoto has come out in support of Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku, calling him the “messiah” of Ghana football.

Akoto opined that Okraku has done a remarkable job of restoring confidence and trust in the country’s football governing body and has been successful in fixing a broken and destroyed brand of football.

Speaking to Takoradi-based Empire FM, Akoto stated that the soul of the GFA had been wiped out before Okraku’s election, and that the foundation of football had collapsed in a heap.

However, Okraku has been able to restore the foundation of the game and has done tremendously well in fixing the deteriorated image, integrity, credibility, and brand of Ghana football.

Akoto further praised Okraku for his efforts in securing sponsors for every product of the football association, which he believes is a positive step for the growth and prosperity of Ghana’s beautiful game.

Despite challenges faced by the current regime, Akoto believes that Okraku’s positives far outweigh the few setbacks, and that he is on the path of growth and prosperity for Ghana football.

As a highly respected figure within the sport, Kurt Okraku will be seeking re-election in October 2023.
