Match Report: Ghana 1-0 Senegal- Black Queens complete double over Senegal

The Black Queens completed a double over Senegal with 1-0 win at the Ohene Gyan Stadium in another friendly encounter.

A late goal from Evelyn Badu was enough as Ghana registered their third win under new head coach Nora Häuptle.

HGhana ‘sHead coach Nora Häuptle made four changes from the team that played in the first game; Adama Alhassan, Azumah Bugre, two goal hero Gifty Assifuah and Malta-based goalie Cynthia Konlan were all left at the bench.

The Black Queens despite starting very well failed to test the Senegalese goalkeeper.

Senegal unlike the first game were impressive on the day creating some few goalscoring opportunities.

After the break, Senegal came close twice to take the lead in the space of five minutes but both Mama Diouf and Nguena couldn’t make it count.

Substitute, Fidaus Yakubu had a golden chance on the 72nd minute but saw effort went wide.
The Queens finally snatched the lead on the 84th minute through Evelyn Badu- who controlled a nice cross from Suzy Dede, kept her composure and struck into the net for the opener.
It ended 1-0 for the Black Queens after full time and is a perfect test for their preparations towards the WAFU Zone B championship.
