Match Report: Karela 3-0 Hearts of Oak – Passioners wallop Phobians at Anyinase

Karela United defeated Hearts of Oak 3-0  on Saturday to strengthen their chance of survival in the Ghana Premier League.

The host scored twice in the first half before adding the third in the second half to continue their unbeaten home run against the Phobians.

Emmanuel Boakye Owusu broke the deadlock of the game on the 18th-minute to give the host the lead.

The host doubled their lead on the 32-minute after Konadu Yiadom headed the ball into his own net.

Hearts woes continued with two minutes to the break when left back, Rashid Okine was given the marching off orders.

Karela United increased the tally with three minutes to full time through Richard Berko to put the game beyond the Phobians.

The defeat keeps Hearts of Oak rooted in 4th on 35 points from 23 games with the remaining games to be cleared on Sunday.
