Hearts of Oak stalwart preaches unity after President’s Cup win

Hearts of Oak defender Samuel Inkoom has called on the club to build on the Super Clash win against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
The Phobians defeated the Porcupine Warriors by a lone goal in the Matchday 20 encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium which also doubled as the 2023 President’s Cup.
The club has been through a rough patch in recent weeks following back to back defeats to Aduana Stars and Great Olympics.
However, Inkoom is hoping the win against Asante Kotoko will mark a turning point in the season.
The result takes Hearts of Oak back into the top four with 31 points – level on points with Asante Kotoko.
“I think in life certain things will happen and you know what you want in life you will just focus. Everybody is happy and the most important thing we have to do we have to come together like what we did today,” Inkoom said after the game.
“Without the players there will not be any team without the supporters there will not be any player. So I think we have to keep the spirit I am so happy you can see the fans everybody was together screaming, singing and that is the important thing. That’s the beauty of the game,”
