BREAKING : Daniel Kofi Kyereh ruled out for the season with cruciate ligament injury

Daniel Kofi Kyereh’s season at Bundesliga side Freiburg is over after he suffered a cruciate ligament injury at training, the club has announced.

The enterprising midfielder will miss the rest of the season following a scan by the Frieburg University Hospital.

The midfielder is expected to undergo surgery in the coming to fix his ligament.

Freiburg confirmed his injury on their official website.

“Kofi Kyereh tore his cruciate ligament in training and will be out for the rest of the season.

In Thursday’s training, Kofi Kyereh twisted his knee in a duel. An examination in the Freiburg University Hospital resulted in the diagnosis of a cruciate ligament rupture. An operation is to follow in the next few days. The attacking player will no longer be available this season.

We wish Kofi a successful surgery and a speedy recovery!”

The midfielder will miss Ghana’s upcoming African Cup of Nations qualifier next month.

Daniel Kyereh has made 12 appearances for Frieburg this season scoring twice in the process.
