Aduana FC’s title chase has suffered a big blow as the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has slapped sanctions on one of their key performers.
Emmanuel Gyamfi, an experienced and crucial member of the league leaders has been banned and fined by the GFA’s DC following a breach of the association’s Disciplinary code.
Gyamfi was charged in relation to his actions in a BetPawa GPL game between Aduana and his former side Asante Kotoko. In the game Gyamfi was engaged in an altercation with Asante Kotoko goalie Frederick Asare and subsequently Justice Blay.
For his actions, the GFA slapped 2 charges on him for breaching Article 34 (6) (d) and Article 12 1(h) of the Disciplinary Code.
After filing his defense and eventual sitting by the DC, it was deemed necessary to slap on Gyamfi a 5-match ban and a fine of GH¢2000 for having breached Article 34 (6) (d) of GFA Disciplinary Code.
He was however cleared of the second charge which related to Article 12 1(h) of the GFA Disciplinary Code.
