The brilliant forward terminated his contract on mutual consent with the Qatari champions on Sunday afternoon.
“Al-Sadd SC has reached an agreement with Andre Ayew to terminate his contract with the club by mutual consent Thank you Andre Ayew,” an official club statement from the Qatari club said.
The Black Stars captain joined Al Sadd as a free agent in July 2021 and played in 30 league games, scoring 18 goals.
While the 33-year-old midfielder had five months left on his two-year deal with the club, Al-Sadd SC have today announced that it has reached a deal to part ways with the player.
Now a free agent once again, Andre Ayew and his representatives are reportedly working on a deal that will see him join a new club in the next two days before the winter transfer window shuts.
Reports gathered from Qatar indicate the rivals Al Rayyan are keen on getting the Ghana skipper to join their squad.
Ayew’s representatives are in serious talks with the Aspire-based club to conclude a deal in the coming days.
