Match Report: Kotoko 5-1 Kotoku Royals – Porcupines sink Royals to move second

Asante Kotoko has moved to second place in the BetPawa Premier League after putting up a five-star performance against Kotoku Royals on Sunday evening.
The Porcupine Warriors walloped bottom side Kotoku Royals 5-1 at the Baba Yara Sport Stadium on match day 14 to end their three games winless run.
A brace from Steve Mukwala and a strike each from Richmond Lamptey, Eric Zeze, and Sarfo Taylor propelled the Porcupines to a comfortable win.
Richmond Lamptey got the opener just 11th minutes after kick off.
Steve Mukwala doubled the host lead from the spot after he was brought down in the penalty box.
The visitors pulled one back through Andy Kumi on the half-hour mark.
Kotoko continued from where they left off in the first half, getting the third on the 61st minute.
Eric Zeze made it 4-1 on the 81st minute before Sarfo Taylor wrapped up the victory in additional time.
The win is Kotoko’s first in four games after drawing their last three games in the league.
