CHAN 2022: David Abagna adjudged Man of the Match in Ghana comeback win over Sudan

Hard-working midfielder David Abagna was adjudged the most valuable player in Ghana’s victory over Sudan in the ongoing 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.
The Real Tamale United star was at his best as Ghana came back from a goal down to beat a wasteful Sudan side in the only game played on Thursday.
Abagna was the brightest player on the pitch dictating play and also winning possessions for his side on the day.
Sudan took an early deserved lead in the 31st minute through Al Gozoli Nooh.
Konadu Yiadom drew Ghana level just before the break putting the ball past goalkeeper Ali Abdalla Aboeshren.
Ghana returned from the break looking to take the lead taking the game to their opponent.
Their effort was rewarded on the 65th minute, when captain Daniel Afriyie was brought down in the box.
The attacker made no mistake to convert from the spot and hand his side a 2-1 lead.
Sudan lifted their game after going down creating numerous chances.
Ahmed Adam was denied by Danlad Ibrahim, before the Asante Kotoko goalkeeper few minutes later denied Mozamil Mohammed from close range.
Ghana were reduced to ten men after Afriyie Barnieh was sent off for a dangerous challenge on Walieldin Khdir Safour.
Despite going down by a goal, substitute Seidu Suraj connected to a Jonah Attuquaye cross into the box to make it 3-1 for Ghana and seal the victory for the Galaxies in the 98th minute.
