Accra Lions defeated Karela United 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday to register their first win of the season.
Two quick first half goals from Samuel Gyimah and Daniel Awuni handed the Capital club a vital win despite a consolation from Enock Agblenyo.
The host were rewarded for their good start as Samuel Gyimah met a teasing cross from Baba Apiiga to give them the lead.
Daniel Awuni doubled Lions lead four minutes later, the attacker curled home a beauty to make it 2-0.
Karela returned from the break looking more determined as they look to their deficit.
