Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick believes the Super Eagles will triumph over the Black Stars in the second leg of their crunch World Cup play-off encounter on Tuesday.
The first leg ended in 0-0 stalemate at the Baba Yara Spots stadium in Kumasi on Friday.
“I think Ghana managed to have a draw not Nigeria. And I think we had a good chance of winning the game even though we’ve drawn , both sides played very well. I really thought that we could have won the game” Amaju said on Akoma 87.9 FM
The reverse fixture which will be played at the Mashood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday will determine which team will represent the continent at the global showpiece in Qatar.
“I know we should and will win convincingly at home. Our team is the better but we were unfortunate today” he concluded.
Ghana are aiming for a fourth appearance after missing the 2018 edition in Russia, while Nigeria are hoping to qualify for a seventh.
