The Super Eagles will have the benefit of home advantage when they face Ghana at Mashood Abiola Stadium in the reverse fixture on Tuesday.
Austine Eguavoens’s men need a win against the Black Stars to qualify for a seventh World Cup later this year in Qatar.
Ghana, meanwhile, need a win or a score draw will be enough to give them a fourth appearance at the World Cup.
