Nigeria defender Leon Balogun has admitted the game between Ghana and Nigeria will be a difficult one.
Ghana & Nigeria are neck-in-neck for a place at this year’s World cup which will take place in Qatar in the closing stages of the year.
Ahead of the first leg tie at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, Balogun stated even though the game will be a difficult one the super eagles will be up for the task.
“We know that this game isn’t going to be easy. We have just got to give our best and see what we can get out of the first game before we come back home” – Balogun told NFF TV.
Balogun also recounted his first experience of the Ghana-Nigeria tie which took place in London.
“I remember the friendly game we played against Ghana in London. The game ended 0-0 but It was a very tough game.” – Balogun said
“It was like a fight, both on the field and outside the pitch” – he concluded.
