Ex-Nigeria striker Jonathan Akpoborie is confident the Super eagles will fly over the Black Stars on Friday when the two giants meet in Kumasi for the 2022 World Cup playoff.
To him, Nigeria have nothing to fear but to go all out and defeat the Black Stars at their own backyard.
The Black Stars will play as hosts to the Super Eagles in the first leg on March 25 before the reverse fixture on March 29 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
Speaking to completesports.com in Nigeria, the former Wolfsburg striker was full of optimism that the Black Stars will not escape defeat in Kumasi this Friday.
“The Super Eagles are poised for glory and I don’t see them falling to their West African neighbour in the World Cup playoffs,” he said.
“One thing is certain, the Black Stars of Ghana will not escape defeat in Kumasi because our players are willing to rewrite history.
”It is a tough task but I know Austin Eguavoen and the players will sacrifice everything to get the ticket,” he added.
Akpoborie played for the Super Eagles between 1995 and 2001.
