Ghana will miss the service of midfielder Mubarak Wakaso for the crucial 2022 World Cup playoff games against Nigeria.

Wakaso has not been in action since sustaining an injury during Ghana’s last World Cup qualifier against South Africa.

The 31 year old despite been named in the squad for 2021 AFCON failed to recover in time as Ghana suffered group stage elimination.

Wakasu is yet to fully recover from the injury and will not be available for the double header against Nigeria.

The former Villarreal player has scored 13 goals in 65 appearances for the Black Stars since his debut in 2012.
