Chris Hughton, Technical Advisor of the Black Stars is optimistic of the team’s chances of qualifying for this year’s World Cup in Qatar
Hughton reposed a huge level of confidence in the Black Stars team ahead of the 2022 World Cup playoffs which commence this weekend citing they have enough quality to make it to the global showpiece.
Ghana will take on neighbors Nigeria in the World Cup in a two-legged playoff tie with the winner earning a place at this year’s World Cup in Qatar.
The Black Stars will be keen to get one over their neighbors and make a return to the World Cup having missed out on the last edition in Russia and ahead of the first of the leg of the playoffs, Technical Advisor of the Black Stars, Chris Houghton has stated he believes Ghana have got enough quality to beat Nigeria and qualify for the World Cup.
“We strongly believe we have the quality, desire, and hunger to achieve the results that we want, it is our aim to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar and we all have a duty to make that dream a reality” – Hughton said.
“Ghana has done it before and we can guarantee you that every Ghanaian wants to see the team in Qatar and we are committed to that. We are Ghana and we are ready” – He concluded.
