Legon Cities emerged victorious in the relegation six pointer tussle between themselves and WAFA.
The Royals find themselves flirting with relegation after a tough season and needed victory to put some daylight between themselves and the teams in the drop zone.
Legon Cities got off to the best possible start as they opened the scoring through Hans Kwoffie in the 23rd minute.
The Royals doubled their advantage 8 minutes later through Hamza Nasiru.
The home side took the advantage to recess looking to build on that in the second half.
WAFA came out in the second half searching for a goal to get themselves back in it but the Legon Cities defence held firm.
The Academy boys would however reap results from their labour as Moses Ayidem scored 5 minutes from the full time whistle.
The strike came in late as it only proved to be a consolation and the Royals held on for victory.
