Ghana Football Association EXCO Member, Samuel Anim Addo has disclosed the decision to not announce the Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup Playoff against Nigeria is a deliber ploy to confuse the opponent.
Kickoff for the first leg of the blockbuster showdown between the two neighbors is just 8 days away and it’s still unknown which players will represent the country for the two-legged playoff.
Anim Addo, when quizzed on the strategy adopted by the GFA, revealed the aim of the strategy is to confuse the opponents.
“Strategically, we must keep our opponents confused and they are confused and the time that they will need to regroup and organize themselves to know what our strengths are will be limited”- Anim Addo told Citi Sports.
“The players who have been selected know they are traveling and are already preparing for the game. The most important thing is that you will get Ghanaians who are going to die for the country.” – he added.
The first leg of the game will be played on 25th March 2022 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before the second leg takes place in Abuja on 29th March 2022.
