Black Stars skipper Andre Ayew was on target for Al Sadd as they suffered a 3-2 defeat in the Qatar Emir Cup on Monday against Al Duhail SC.

Ayew’s beautiful goal wasn’t enough as they suffered elimination in the semi final of the competition.

Tunisia international midfielder Ferjani Sassi scored twice and one other goal from Kenya striker Michael Olunga Ogada to send Al Duhail through to the final.

Ayew and Algeria international Baghdad Bounedjah got the two consolations for the Qatari champions.

The Black Stars captain will end his first season in Qatar with 17 goals in 24 matches for Al Sadd.

He joined Al Sadd from English Championship side Swansea City.
