Nigeria legend Daniel Amokachi has thrown a jab at Ghana over the country’s struggle to get a stadium for the first leg of the 2022 World Cup playoff this month.
The 20,000 capacity Cape Coast stadium was initially scheduled to host crucial fixture but the venue was rejected by CAF due to the poor state of the pitch.
FootballMadeInGhana understands that authorities in Ghana are trying to get the Babayara Stadium in Kumasi approved for the first leg between the Black Stars and Super Eagles on March 25.
As things stand, the issue of the venue is still in limbo with barely ten days remaining to kick off.
Should Ghana fail to secure a suitable stadium in time, FIFA is expected to propose Benin or Morocco as the neutral venue for the first leg.
In a video posted on his Twitter page on Tuesday, the former Nigeria striker flaunted the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, the venue for the reverse fixture on March 29.
Amokachi bragged about the stadiums readiness while poking fun at Ghana for sweating to find a suitable venue.
