Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku scored his first goal of the season for Strasbourg in their 1-0 win over Monaco in the French Ligue 1.

The Black Stars defender scored the only goal of the game on the 23rd minute to secure the maximum points for his side.

Djiku converted a sensational bicycle kick after a scramble following a corner at Stade de la Meinau to open the scoring.

The goal is Djiku’s first for the season in 22 league appearance.

Alexander Djiku is expected to be in action for Ghana against Nigeria in the 2022 World Cup playoffs in two weeks time.
