Bechem United welcome league leaders Asante Kotoko to the Fosu Gyeabour Park on Tuesday in this rearranged Ghana Premier League Match Week 19 fixture.
The game originally set for last weekend had to be moved due to Kotoko and Hearts of Oak’s engagement in the President’s Cup honored last Friday.
Kotoko suffered a painful defeat to Hearts and will be eager to bounce back in a league campaign where they have been far superior to their other competitors.
However they face a tough test in Bechem who until the weekend’s round of matches occupied the second spot and will attempt to inflict more damage to the Porcupine Warriors.
Bechem’s fine firm this season has seen them make a justification for finishing in the Top 4. After putting in a solid work so far, Coach Kassim Mingle’s side have amassed 30 points (with a record of 8 wins, 6 draws & 4 defeats).
A win against Kotoko will take them back to second place on 33 points and also reduce the point difference to 7.
What will inspire confidence amond the Hunters is that their home games have produced a chunk of their total points accumulated.
They have picked 22 out of the 30 points at home remaining undefeated in 8 matches at the Fosu Gyeabour Park.
With this bossing confidence in the home side, the away side will also be wary of this and prepare well for the task ahead.
In fact Kotoko have not fared badly on the road this season. The league leaders have league-high 15 points away from home.
Coach Prosper Narteh-Ogum’s side have conceded the fewest away goals(4) and have a joint league-high away wins (4); a record they share with Aduana Stars who have played a game more.
Surely, this game promises to be cagey with very few chances popping up for both sides as they will cautiously approach this.
