Ghanaian attacker, Kwame Peprah’s strike was not enough as Orlando Pirates suffered a 1-2 home defeat against Kaizer Chiefs in the biggest derby in South African Football dubbed ‘Soweto Derby’ at the Orlando Stadium.
Peprah scored on the 54th minute to draw his side level after his team conceded an early goal.
Reeve Frosler broke the deadlock of the game with a good finish to give the visitors the lead.
Pirates should’ve been back on level terms a minute later through a snap effort on the near side of the area by Peprah, but the Ghanaian striker fired into the side-netting.
After the break, Peprah tapped home a cross from Thabang Monare to make it 1-1 for the host.
The visitors took the lead again on the 81st minute after Eric Mathoho headed a cross from Dolly.
Peprah was substituted on the 90th minute and he was replaced by Terrence Dzvukamanja.
The former King Faisal forward has scored six goals and provided three assists in his 21 appearances for Orlando Pirates in all competitions this season so far.
