The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season has started to heat up, and while a lot of discussions has been geared towards title contenders, the race for the Golden Boot is beginning to take shape.
Red-hot Asante Kotoko striker Frank Etouga Mbella and Aduana Stars hitman Bright Adjei are leading the pack after 18 rounds of matches played.
Mbella scored a brace for Kotoko in their 2-0 win against Dreams FC over the weekend to increase his season tally to 13 goals.
Bright Adjei also responded with a brace in Aduana’s 2-0 win over Karela United to take his tally to 11 goals.
RTU’s David Abagna and Bechem United’s Augustine Okrah are tied on 8 goals each.
While Zubairu Ibrahim (King Faisal), Maxwell Quaye (Great Olympics), Kofi Kordzi (Hearts of Oak) and Umar Bashiru (Karela United) follow closely behind with 7 goals to their names.
