Chairman for the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Mr. Kudjoe Fiano has confirmed the Association is in talks with English side Tottenham on a possible appearance in the next edition of the  President’s Cup.

H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo is known to be a staunch fan of the North London side and GHALCA boss confirmed the association is engaged in discussions with Tottenham to honor the President in the ceremonial cup match.

Mr. Kudjoe Fianoo indicated the association will ensure they are able to pull off the event involving Tottenham before the tenure of Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo expires in 2024.

“There are plans to honor the president with the clubs he supports locally and internationally in the next edition of the President cup”, Mr. Fianoo told Precise FM

“We have involved clubs outside Ghana in the past and per what we are looking at, the president’s tenure expires in 2024 and we are aware he supports Tottenham Hotspurs so after this year we are looking at engaging authorities in bringing Tottenham Hotspurs to Ghana to play against the club the president supports in Ghana.” – he added.
