Ghanian attacker Dauda Mohammed scored twice for Cartagena despite their 2-3 defeat to Real Valladollid on Friday.
Dauda was on target for the second game running but was not enough to save his club from defeat.
The 23-year old scored his first just three minutes into the game to cancel Toni Villa’s first minute strike for the visitors.
Real Valladolid restored their lead just before the break through Shon Weissman.
Dauda Mohammed scored his second on the 73rd minute to make it 2-2.
However, the hosts were pegged back with nine minutes left after Anuar Mohamed Tuhami scored the winner for Valladolid.
Mohammed Dauda has now scored four goals and provided two assists in 23 matches for the Spanish second tier side.
