Head coach of Asante Kotoko Prosper Narteh says has warned his stars to guard against complacency after their win against Accra Lions in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupines Warriors defeated Accra Lions 3-1 on Saturday to extend their lead on top of the Ghana Premier League.
Asante Kotoko despite having a game in hand are sitting comfortably on top of the League, but Prosper Narteh wants his boys to remain focused for the task ahead.
“It’s early days yet. We need to stay focused and keep doing the right thing.” He told the media after the game.
“We look a bit out of shape, especially when when we scored the third goal. That was very unusual of us, though used our experience to cover it. It’s something we shouldn’t repeat in the subsequent games.
“It all about being consistent at training and the repetition of the most important details of the game.”
Asante Kotoko will face their bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak on Sunday in an outstanding week 7 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.
