Title-chasing Asante Kotoko will eye a return to winning ways when they host Accra Lions on Match Week 17 of the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko head into the fixture at the Baba Yara Sports stadium right after a painful 2-1 away defeat to bottom club Elmina Sharks on Monday.
Joint league top scorer Franck Mbella Etouga missed a last gasp penalty to ensure a point in the Sharks clash and will be Itching to return to scoring with Accra Lions coming to town.
The result was the second defeat for the title-chasing Porcupine Warriors whose lead atop the league standings has now been cut to 3 points.
Having accumulated 33 points from 15 games played, the home side can extend their lead to 6 points with victory over visiting Accra Lions after second-placed Bechem United drawing 1-1 with Berekum Chelsea on Friday.
Accra Lions have also endured a roller-coaster debut season so far. The new boys have amassed 19 points from their first 16 games and find themselves in the bottom half of the table.

After winning by the lone goal at home to Medeama in their last game, they will be eager to steal at least a point from their affair with Kotoko.
What makes their chances slim is their away record. On the road, the visitors rank 14th having picked a paltry 4 points from their league travels this season.
This makes it a tall order for them to claim a positive result against a Kotoko side who have recorded 6 wins, 1 draw and only 1 defeat in 8 home matches this season.
The match will kick off at 3pm on Saturday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and will be shown live on StarTimes Adepa Channel 247.
