Ghanaian midfielder, Kamal Sowah, has joined Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar on the transfer deadline day.
The attacker joins the side on loan from Belgium giants Club Brugge.
Sowah will feature for the club till the end of the season.
The attacker has struggled to find his feat at the Belgian side since joining them from English side Leicester City.
“We have carefully looked at an offensive reinforcement. Kamal fits the profile we envisioned, with his speed and depth. In addition, it can be used in multiple positions. With the addition of Kamal to our roster and the definitive transfer of Yusuf Barasi and Ernest Poku, we are ready to continue our chosen path in the second half of the season,” said Alkmaar’s Director of Football
Kamal Sowah also described the move has perfect for his career.
“I see AZ as the perfect step for me. The club made a good first impression and the ambition appeals to me,” he told the club’s official website after completing the move.
“I am an agile player and good on the ball. In addition, I am also a team player. I see myself as a winger, but I can play in several positions,” he added as he spoke about his qualities.
Sowah moved to England from the Right to Dream Academy.
He spent time on loan in Belgium with OH Leuven where he carved a niche for himself.
