Asante Kotoko’s High-flying Cameroonian duo, Frank Mbella Etouga and George’s Mfegue Omgba have been singled out for much praise from the club’s Head Coach Prosper Narteh-Ogum.
The Coach has expressed his heartfelt approval and commendation of the two players who only joined the club before the start of the current season.
Truly, the addition of the two has been worthwhile for the Porcupine Warriors.
With their exploits, the club is sitting comfortably at the summit of the Ghana Premier League standings with both combining for 12 of the club’s 22 league goals.
Frank Mbella Etouga has 8 goals in 10 appearances, while Georges Mfegue Omgba has netted 4 times plus other notable goal involvements in 11 matches played.
Speaking in the aftermath of his side’s win over Great Olympics, Kotoko Coach Prosper Narteh-Ogum highlighted what has propelled the two to keep churning out top performances on the regular.
“I think the secret is that they’re focused… they are obedient. They are very humble. They are very hardworking,” he told the questioner.
“Sometimes even if you want to give them some days off to recover fully, they disagree. Sometimes you have to negotiate with them to let them understand why they have to rest. To them they have come to Ghana to make it and make it big. That’s why they are here.
“So I think their sense of humility, their sense of obedience, and the spirit of harswork that is in them, that is bringing our the best in them,” he concluded.
