Former Ghana International, Rahim Ayew, has revealed that the Ayew brothers are unperturbed by the barrage of criticisms leveled against them following Ghana’s disastrous Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
Ghana recorded its worse AFCON campaign in the nation’s history at AFCON 2021 when they finished bottom of their group failing to win a single game in which they played.
The country’s early exit has got several Ghanaians blaming the Ayew brothers – Jordan and Andre Ayew for the country’s predicament with some fans calling for their exit from their National team.
Speaking on calls for his brothers to be dropped from the team, Rahim Ayew, who represented Ghana at the 2010 World Cup, says his sibling are committed to the Black Stars and unfazed by critiques from the general public.
“Trust me, personally if I tell you I watch TV then I am lying. We are not bothered with what is going on at all,” he told Adom TV.
“Why should we be bothered?” he quizzed.
“Sometimes you look at the person criticizing you and your life, there is a big difference so why should we waste our time on such a person.”
“You can try and take us from Ghana football but the name will still remain for years. What God has written, no man can take away. We have children, the name Ayew will still be there,” Rahim Ayew concluded.
