Ghana began their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Morocco in Group C on Monday.
A late strike from Soufiane Boufal handed the Morrocans a hard-fought win on the day.

16. Jojo Wollacot (GK)- ( 6/10) – Ghana’s second best player on the day. He was the reason the scoreline ended 1-0. Was solid on the day with some fine saves.
2. Andy Yiadom( 5/10)- Was defensively ok, but did nothing in attack. The Reading defender will need to improve in the subsequent games.
17. Baba Rahman ( 5/10)- Not a bad outing from Baba Rahman. The left back reduced the threat on his side and made things difficult for them. Didn’t do much in attack
23. Alexander Djiku ( 5/10)- Got caution early in the game, but kept his cool untill the blast of the final whistle. Can’t be blame for the goal we conceded.
18. Daniel Amartey ( 5/10)- Not a bad outing from the Leicester defender. Organized the back very well and kept his composure throughout the game.
21. Baba Iddrisu ( 4/10)- The Mallorca enforcer struggled to make impact in the game. Gave too many passed away. Failed in most of his tackles which gave the Moroccans a lot of space to attack.
22. Kamaldeen Suleman ( 5/10)- Started the game very well and gave the Moroccans defense a lot of problems with his runs. Gave the Moroccans defense a torrid time on the left side but failed to create any goalscoring.
5. Thomas Partey ( 4/10)- Not the best of games for the Arsenal midfielder. Struggled stamp his authority in the game. His mistake led to the only goal of the game. Will need to improve in the coming games.
9. Jordan Ayew (4/10)- Didn’t get much supplies as he had to draw back to the get the balls. Won a lot of fouls for the team. But in all it was another average performance from the attacker.
15. Jospeh Paintsil (7 /10) – What a game he had. The Genk forward was Ghana’s best player on the day. Created a lot of opportunities but his finally deliveries let him down. Was denied by a wonderful goalkeeping from Bonou.
10. Dede Ayew ( 4/10)- The skipper was non existent in the game as Ghana were made to chased the ball. Should have been withdrawn in the second half.
