Cameroon, five-time winners of the competition, are huge favorites for the tournament and Coach Toni Conceicao has got a huge burden of responsibility of getting his team to live up to that tag.
Although the Lions do not have a star-studded team, the Portuguese tactician has managed to get his side knit together perfectly balancing their defensive duties and attacking responsibilities in spectacular fashion.
Standing in their way for opening day glory, however, is a young Burkinabe side whose youthful exuberance could be a lethal weapon as well as their drawbacks.
Having missed out on the last edition, Burkina-Faso are back for this year’s edition and with a squad filled with the next generation of talents, they should be an interesting side to watch.
