Berekum Chelsea held Medeama to a 1-1 draw at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa on Friday.
A late goal from Kwesi Donsu cancelled Mohammed Alhassan’s first half strike.
It was Medeama who started the game very well pilling a lot of pressure on the visitors.
Amed Toure nearly broke the deadlock of the game on the 13th minute, but his shot went wide.
Medeama kept dominating the play as the visitors struggled to find their feat.
The visitors took a suprise lead on the 38th minute after Mohammed Alhassan taps a rebound following a mistake from goalkeeper Manduji.
Chelsea kept it tight untill the blast of the first half whistle.
After the break, Medeama came out strongly putting everything to get the equalizer.
Gregory Sekyere produced a wonderful save to denied Tetteh Zuttah from close.
The goalkeeper few minutes later also made a double save to deny first Amed Toure before a rebound from Zuttah.
Medeama finally got the equalizer on the 80th minute, Kwasi Donsu connected a perfect header following a cross from Benjamin Abaidoo.
The host despite producing a late fight couldn’t get the late winner as they were made to settle in with a point.
