Great Olympics Forward, Maxwell Abbey Quaye made his Black Stars debut in the Black Stars 3-0 defeat to Algeria in a Pre-AFCON friendly.

Abbey Quaye was a second half substitute as he was introduced for striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom in the 67th minute.

Abbey had very little impact in the game as the striker barely got any supplies from the midfield.

The Black Stars on the day were terribly poor as the reigning AFCON champions Algeria eased past them with three unanswered goals.

The team will continue its preparations for the AFCON at their base in Doha before departing to Cameroon on 7th January.

The Black Stars will begin their AFCON campaign against Morocco on Monday, 10th January, 2022 in Yaounde.
