Accra Hearts of Oak were held to a 0-0 draw by Bechem United on Match Day 11 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The defending Champions came into this fixture as hot favorites following three wins and draw in their last four Premier League matches.

The game against Bechem United was the first for Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports stadium since their 2-0 win over J.S Saoura in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday, November 28, 2022.

Victories over Elmina Sharks, Accra Lions and Berekum Chelsea put them in a very commanding state ahead of Sunday’s as they expected to bounce back to winning ways after being held 2-2 by Dreams FC on Christmas eve. However, profligacy in front of goal did them more harm against the Hunters.

The result is a good one for Bechem United who remain in the top four while Hearts are now nine points off the top with two games in hand.
