Legon Cities beat Elmina Sharks 2-0 on Monday to record their first away win of the season and also climb to the 14th spot in the League log.
Nasiru Moro and Augustine Dosu scored in either half to give the Royals a precious win at the Nduom stadium to restore their lost confidence and also to give them belief in the remainder of the season. One significant fact is that they played without manager Maxwell Konadu who is on International duty with the Black Stars in Doha in preparation for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The new look Legon Cities have an opportunity to extend their winning run on Monday as they eye their first back to back wins of the season as they lock horns with new boys Accra Lions at the El Wak stadium on Monday.
The two teams are separated by one point- Accra Lions are 13th with 11 points – Legon Cities are 14th with 10 points. Legon Cities have not won any of their last two home matches and would aim to end that winless run on Monday.
Another fixture scheduled for Monday is Berekum Chelsea’s home tie against Great Olympics at the Golden City Park in Berekum. Great Olympics are 5th in the table with 16 points while Berekum Chelsea occupies the 12th spot with 11 points.
The Dade boys head into the game without leading scorer Maxwell Abbey Quaye who is with the Black Stars in Doha preparing for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. The match will be live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247 and Max TV at 3pm.
Match Day 11 will be rounded up at the Len Clay stadium in Obuasi where AshantiGold host Medeama SC.
