West African Football Academy boys finally found their scoring boots as they put two past hapless Elmina Sharks to secure a much needed victory.
WAFA had been struggling for goals prior to Sunday’s encounter with Sharks. However, that wasn’t the case as the Academy boys found the back of the net with ease to extend Elmina Sharks’ losing streak.
The home side began the game on the front foot and consistently peppered Sharks’s goal till they finally got the breakthrough.
Striker Justus Torsutey converted from the spot after WAFA had been awarded a penalty following an infringement in the penalty area.
The home side then doubled their lead 5 minutes after the break after talisman Samson Agyepong finished off a brilliant team move.
WAFA created more attacking opportunities in their bid to increase their lead but weren’t able to convert them.
Sharks on the other hand tried their very best to get back into the game but the hosts held their resolve to walk away with a cleansheet.
WAFA move up to 15th on the league log whilst Sharks remain routed at the bottom of the table.
