Strasbourg have recalled Alexander Djiku following permission from CAF to European clubs to hold on to their African players until January 3.
The centre back despite joining the Black Stars camping in Doha has flown back to France to link up with his teammates with the permission of the Ghana Football Association.
Djiku could feature for Strasbourg on Sunday in their Coupe de France round 16 clash against Montpellier.
The towering center back has been a key figure for the Ligue 1 side featuring in 17 games in the current campaign.
Djiku is expected to join the Black Stars immediately after the Coupe de France game to prepare for Ghana’s AFCON opener.
The Black Stars kick off their campaign against Morroco on 8 January.
