Former Ghana International, Didi Dramani has sent a word of caution to the Black Stars ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations not to underrate any opponent they will be coming up against.
Ghana have been drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Gabon and Comoros and will be going into the tournament with the sole aim of ending the country’s long wait for an AFCON trophy.
The Stars performance at the last edition wasn’t something to write home about as they had to exit at the Round of 16 and Serbian tactician Milovan Rajevac will be hoping to do better when he takes his charges to Cameroon.
Ahead of the commencement of the team’s preparatory camping, Experienced Coach Didi Dramani has offered some words of advice for the team saying the game of football has developed hence the Black Stars must approach every game with a tough mindset.
“Gone are the days when the groupings come out we say this is the toughest or weakest group. There’s nothing like that in football now,” Didi Dramani, a former Black Stars scout told Joy FM.
“Everybody is enlightened and plans as well as beef up their preparation. You can see how the qualifiers went, there are no minors in the game.”
“It’s all about going round and getting quality players, we are lucky many of our players are active and still playing active football,” the coach stressed.
The Black Stars will depart the shores of the country today to begin a 17 day preparatory camp in Doha, Qatar before emplaning to Cameroon before the start of the AFCON.
