President of Ghana Nana Addo Akuffo Addo has handed 1 million Ghana cedis to the Ghana Premier League Champions Hearts of Oak to aid their African campaign.

The Champions led by the board members, management and some member of the playing body called on the President at the Jubilee House in Accra on Tuesday.

President Nana Akufo-Addo gave the Phobians 1 million Ghana cedis to support the Ghanaian champions Africa campaign.

The meeting which was initially scheduled for last month was rescheduled because of the busy schedule of the president.

The President revealed he is impressed with the success chalked by the Phobians on the local scene and urged them to make the country proud on the continent.

The club presented the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup trophies they won last season to the President.

Hearts after a poor start in the Ghana Premier League will shift attention to their CAF Confederation Cup game against Algerian side JS Saoura on Sunday.
