Ashdod defender Montari Kamaheni says getting invite to the senior national team is a great motivation for him after his invite to the camp of the Black Stars for the recent 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The left back was handed a late call-up to replace Gideon Mensah in the Ghana squad for the games against Ethiopia and South Africa in the November international break.
Despite not playing in any of the two games, Kamaheni says the experience alone was a good one for him and will only motivate him to do more.
“It was a good feeling and a great experience, looking at the fact that it is the dream of every player to wear the national colors and fight for Ghana, and me being called upon for duty was something great,” Montari has said in an interview with sportsworldghana.
The defender added, “It is a good step for me as I continue to develop my football career. It was an excellent step. I learned so many things. The team is full of unity.
The former Dreams left back was named among the best three defenders in the Isreali League at the end of the 2020/2021 season.
