Title-Chasing Asante Kotoko entertain Bechem United on Sunday in a Ghana Premier League match week 2 encounter.
Kotoko host the encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi. This will be the first time the Porcupine Warriors will host any sort of football match at the venue for over a year. The Baba Yara Psorts facility had to undergo some renovation works and after completion is ready for use.
This will serve a memorable moment for Kotoko, with the current Nana Yaw Amponsah-led management having never played a competitive match in Kumasi.
The game will also be the first home game for new Kotoko Head Coach Prosper Narteh-Ogum who took charge of the side during the off-season.
The former WAFA head trainer will be hoping to record a very convincing victory that sustains belief in his side, following their opening day 3-1 win over Dreams FC.
Bechem United on the other hand also had a great start to the season; putting 4 unanswered goals past Medeama SC.
They will hope to continue from where they left off, thereby attempting to throw a spanner in the wheel of Kotoko.
Bechem also boasts the presence of former Kotoko players Augustine Okrah and Latif Anabila in their squad and Coach Kassim Mingle will hope the duo can help inspire a positive result for the visitors.
The Match is slated for a 3pm GMT Kickoff time and will be officiated by Referee Gabriel Opoku Antwi.
He will be assisted on the flanks by Tijani Mohammed and Alex Osam. Andrews Awurisa will act as the 4th referee.
