Accra Lions are set to have a taste of top flight derbies later this evening when they play Accra Great Olympics in week 2 of the new season.
The newly promoted side joined Accra Hearts of Oak and Olympics as the three teams in the capital and will begin their derby adventure today.
In their first game of the new season, Accra Lions secured a point at home against Elmina Sharks and head into the game with a double target of securing their first win of the season as well as their first top flight derby win.
Accra Great Olympics, on the other hand, have had their first experience with a newly promoted side as they visited Real Tamale in the first week of the new season.
After finishing in the top 6 last season, Olympics travelled to play RTU last week and secured a 1-1 draw after netting earlier on the game.
They now face another newly promoted side in a derby and look to secure all three points in the game.
