Elmina Sharks midfielder Michelle Sarpong picked up the Man of the Match award in his side’s 3-1 loss to Dreams FC.

Sharks were seeking their first win of the season after drawing on the opening night of the new GPL season whilst Dreams FC were searching for their first points having lost to Asante Kotoko on the opening day.

It was the visitors who emerged with all three points as goals from Kwaku Karikari, Agyenim Boateng and Fatawu Issahaku were enough to hand the Believers all three points amidst Adu Kwaw’s consolation.

Despite Sharks’ defeat, Michelle Sarpong produced a midfield masterclass to earn the MVP award.

His brilliance on the ball and excellent range of passing were all on display as he bossed the midfield on Sunday afternoon.
