Olympics forward Maxwell Abbey scored the first hat trick of the 2021/22 season to claim the Man of the Match award in his side’s 3-1 win over Accra Lions.

Both sides went into the game in search of their first win of the season after they drew their season openers.

Maxwell Abbey single-handedly gave Olympics their first win of the season as he netted a hat trick which handed the Dade boys a 3-1 victory.

Abbey was a delight to watch as his trickery, flair, and pace were too much to handle for the Accra Lion’s defense.

The forward was consistently a goal threat for Accra Lions defense as Olympics dominated and outplayed the Premier League New boys.

Abbey’s feat on Sunday takes him joint-top of the Goal king chart together with David Abagna Sandan who has also scored 3 goals from two games this season.
