FC Sheriff Midfielder Edmund Addo is highly elated after earning his maiden invitation to the Black Stars for the upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers this month.
The Moldova-based midfielder has received several positive reviews following his scintillating displays in the UEFA Champions League.
Addo will finally get his chance to make his bow for the Black Stars when they take on the Walias of Ethiopia and Bafana Bafana on 11 November in Johannesburg and on 14 November in Cape Coast.
Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac was spotted in Milan a fortnight ago to meet the 21-year-old when his side played Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Reports coming through from the camp of the midfielder suggest Edmund is very happy with the chance offered him by Coach Milovan Rajevac.
“He has been in a different mood ever since the invitation reached his club and he was notified. It is every player’s dream to represent his country on the international stage and I believe this will help his career.” – Addo’s Agent disclosed.
“Obviously, he will be an instant hit with the Black Stars since he knows how to work under pressure. He is aware of the situation at stake and will rise to the occasion when given the chance against Ethiopia or South Africa next week,” he further added.
The Black Stars will need victories from their final two games in the upcoming 2022 World Cup Qualifiers in order to make it to the play-off stage and will be coming up against Ethiopia and current group leaders South Africa.
